💡 RV Safety Tips
Carbon Monoxide
Never run a generator inside or directly outside an open window. Install a CO detector and test it monthly. CO is odorless and can be fatal within minutes.
Tire Maintenance
Check tire pressure before every trip — RV tires are especially prone to blowouts from under-inflation. Replace tires every 5–7 years regardless of tread.
Propane Safety
Turn off propane at the tank before driving. Check lines annually for leaks with soapy water. Install a propane detector inside your RV.
Fire Extinguishers
Keep a 2.5 lb ABC fire extinguisher accessible inside the RV. Check the gauge monthly and replace or recharge after any use.
Slide-Out Safety
Always check for clearance — people, pets, objects — before extending or retracting slide-outs. Never extend slides on unlevel ground.
Electrical Hookups
Use a surge protector and EMS at every campground hookup. Check polarity before connecting and never use undersized extension cords.
