A planning worksheet. Nothing is saved or sent. Use Print or Copy before you leave the page.
Write down each night, who manages the land, the rules you checked and a legal backup. Tick the box only when you have confirmed permission with the land manager or owner for that night.
| Permission | Night / date | Place or area | Land manager or owner | Stay limit, fees, permits, fire rules | Road and access notes | Water and dump plan | Legal backup site |
|---|
Tips
- Find the manager first: BLM office, national forest district, state agency or owner. A map pin is not permission.
- Record the stay limit and move distance for that office; they vary.
- Check road access and weather separately from permission.
- Write a legal backup you can reach in daylight.
Rules for ten western states: boondocking hub. Count the cost with the trip budget calculator.
