Explore Sedona, Arizona

Red sandstone buttes, world-class hiking, and a creekside canyon town in the Sonoran high desert.

Sedona sits in a valley of red sandstone formations that seem to change color by the hour — deep rust at midday, glowing orange at sunset. It's a small town with an outsized reputation, drawing hikers, artists, and travelers looking for dramatic desert scenery without the extreme heat of lower-elevation Arizona. Oak Creek runs right through the middle of it, lining the town with cottonwoods and sycamores that turn gold in the fall. If you know of an RV-friendly stop near Sedona that isn't listed here, please submit it and we'll get it added to the directory.

Planning tip

Sedona's uptown streets and parking lots are tight for large rigs. Many RVers park at the campground and drive a towed vehicle or ride the free Sedona Shuttle into the busiest areas, especially around Hwy 179 during peak season.
